About Us

 The Art House School of Fine Arts  was founded by artist and educator Viruchy Delgado-Giambi in 1987.

Initially located at Shadowbriar, in the Westheimer/Dairy Ashford area, it was relocated to the Rice University Village, in the Fall of 1990.  There it became The Village Art House.

In 1993 the school was moved to 3501 W. Holcombe Blvd. where it remained for nine years, finally moving to 4607 Caroline Blvd in the Museum District in the Summer of 2004.

Ms. Delgado is a graduate of the University of Houston. She holds degrees in Languages, Fine Arts and Psychology and specializes in children's behavior in education.

Our Business

The Art House is dedicated to fine art teaching practices. We specialize in classical art training with great emphasis on technique and methodology.   We believe that seeing art and making art go hand in hand and that art is an extension of our human expression and emotional well being.

 Our Mission

The mission of The Art House is to provide a focused studio art studies program of depth and serious challenge to the young student of art.

The Art House's goals are to make the art learning experience a positive one by ensuring the highest level of instruction in all areas and providing the optimal settings for creative intellectual and aesthetic development .

 The Art House believes that a clear understanding of the influence of foreign cultures and their historic references is vital to understanding and creating contemporary art.

The Art House is committed to excellence in art education and believes that art is an integral and essential aspect of every child's education.  We strive to promote excellence in all aspects of education and serious about promoting a better system for our schools and education professionals.

The Art House is a member of the National Art Educators Association.
