Children's Program

Classes are scheduled after school from 2:00 - 7:00 PM 

Children's development in art is greatly associated to hand dexterity and fine/ gross motor skills.    Sometimes these skills are not proportional to the child's intellectual and emotional development and that is where art becomes an indispensable activity. 

Practicing art greatly refines and improves a child's ability to write, understand, and relate to complex concepts.  It also builds self esteem, increases hand dexterity and develops disciplines that will create a successful student.   Art is a tool for success.

The following is a suggestion on how to take full advantage of an art training schedule, for your child or for yourself.   These courses are offered individually, but you can also sign up for two or more courses at one time.

      Portfolio Program

 Ages 12 through 18

The Art House Portfolio Program offers a rigorous and dedicated schedule for those students interested in pursuing art careers at higher education schools and colleges.  The program is well known for it's great success in obtaining admission for students to the finest art schools in the US and abroad, like The Art Institute of Chicago, Syracuse University, RISD, Boston College, Savannah College of Art and Design and SACI in Florence, Italy...just to mention a few.

The Portfolio Program prepares Middle School & High School students in the process of creating an impressive and significant portfolio-- one that defines their individuality, creativity and technical training.   A good portfolio will help with admission to local High Schools, Art Colleges, Universities and special art centers, like HSPVA.   For adults, it will provide them with the presentation tool they need to enter the job market in any art field.

Our program provides the tools to complete and refine students portfolios, strengthen their techniques, prepare them to excel in entrance examinations and visual presentations and succeed in the school of their choice.
